We Can Do This

...As we look out over the planet this evening, we see on the horizon of consciousness a rising cloud of darkness. The times are not yet getting better. Despite the positive messages of the defeat of the Taliban, the destruction being wrought on the resources of the terrorists, the death of Osama's lieutenants even the possible capture of Osama, the enemy is no where near defeated. In fact, to many of us it is clear that we have as yet not even publicly recognized the true face of the enemy. 

The Taliban, the terrorists and the personalities who lead them, including Osama bin Laden, are not the enemy, they are but facades behind which the enemy lurks, stalking horses used to further cloud the light of reason and love, to deepen the veils behind which the true enemy, The Great Lie, moves and out of which it strikes through any channel open to its delusive force. The target of the Lie is not the United States or any country or group. The target of the Lie is, as it was in the last world war, and always has been, basic human freedom, the basic essential of every divine person to be able to choose his or her own path. 

No, we are not yet out of danger. We are not yet even in the deepest part of the danger, and I am here this evening not with words of comfort and ease, or words of peace. However, I am here with words of hope and encouragement, for, also rising on the horizon of consciousness, visible to those who have the eyes to see is a great pillar of light. It is the light of fiery hearts who at last know who they are and what they are about. So, we come this evening and every evening from now on with a call to service which is just another word for battle. 

The message, friends, as I am registering it, anyway, is very simple. It is time for all disciples, for the disciple Humanity as one being, to respond to what the Light released with the events of September 11th. Around the world, we have heard the clarion call of the Soul of humanity. The sounding of this horn was and is apparent in the numerous calls for reason and prudence, and the calls for building, for liberating and bringing dignity and freedom into peoples lives that have started to emerge from the fear generated din and thirst for blood of the first reactions to the bombings. It is time for us to accept our role to don the mantle of the warrior and to once again face the darkness that looms before us. This time, we must be totally conscious of what it is we face and why we are facing it. 

In this effort, thankfully, we have a secret weapon. Secrets, of course, are nothing new to Humanity. The literature of the ages is stuffed with secrets: maps, rings, formulas, sayings, hiding places, potions, and, of course, spies and police: the CIA, KGB, FBI, MI-7. What do you think Microsoft’s XBOX really is? 

Anyway, it is a given that we would have a secret weapon. Usually, when we hear about a “secret weapon” it is something like The Death Star which is a completely functioning light-speed, space station which carries a Death Ray, capable of melting an entire planet in 30 seconds. Our secret weapon is of a different sort. It creates. It brings Spirit into form. 

The disciple, as I have said is the arrow, but the arrow is not the secret weapon. The secret weapon is what propels the arrow, for in essence, absolute bottom line, the disciple is nothing more or less than the sum total of his or her will directed meditation. Our secret weapon, our only weapon is the linked power of our hearts and minds. This is the power that gives us the ability to penetrate the veils of illusion and glamour which surround the planet and cut us off from the Light both on our way to the truth and on the way back as messengers of the Light. Our secret weapon is our daily meditation.

 Now, the only reason this weapon is secret is because of lack of use. Meditation is the mantel, the source of power of the warrior. 

There is a danger here. Because the call is to meditation, we must not think that it is not a call to battle. We must not make the mistake of thinking that the meditation work we are called to is devoid of struggle and danger. It is true that our most significant struggles will be with the forces in our own shadows. Only naive people think that these struggles are without grave danger. Also, we must absolutely realize that in true meditation work there is no separation between the disciple’s inner life and outer environment. The world situation with which we are now faced is the battle in which we must fully connect. We have been told over and over, that the more powerful, the more effective our meditation, the greater will be the danger to us and those around us. And I am not talking about the abstract psychic dangers only, but real time dense physical plane danger as well. 

If our meditation is connecting with the sources of Light, we will carry this light into our environments. Whatever we do in our daily life will be impacted by the light we contact and channel. Simply by living, wherever we are, doing, whatever we do, trained, skilled meditators reveal the truth which the Big Lie denies. The Big Lie does not like to be exposed. 

It seems clear that Humanity has been called to finally free itself from the great illusion of separation. It is our time to tread the lighted way and to throw off the shackles of the Big Lie. It is our time to proclaim the fact of Spirit through the way we live. It is time at long last, friends, for Humanity to be free. Here and Now, not somewhere else later. Not on some other planet in some other time, but tonight and every day from now forward. 

Freeing humanity from its cage will not be achieved by killing or destroying some form that the Big Lie is occupying. We have been killing these forms for centuries. We can kill ten Osama bin Ladens a week for the next 20 years and we will not have moved one inch closer to the free spirit of life. Freedom of the spirit is achieved through a letting in. The cage, the bars, the chains, the prison, holds us in by holding Spirit out. The Big Lie or the Great illusion is, after all, only a lie, only an illusion. Trying to break out of an illusion only gives the illusion strength, the strength of reality. If we did not think the illusion was real, we would not be trying to break out of it. 

We are free, we just need to realize that. We need to reveal the fact of our freedom, by living the principles we know to be the basis for universe. For example we do not need to create a unity. Unity is a fact of cosmos. There is only One Life. In our livingness, the way we live, we can reveal the unity that is. 

On the other hand, the illusion of separation, The Big Lie, keeps Humanity in a perpetual state of want. We are terrified that there is not enough, that we must save or hoard resources because the Big Lie has us convinced that there is not enough to go around and we must continually fight one another for what there is. Buried in this mind-set, in this state of illusory separation, abundance is simply not possible. 

Sharing is a natural aspect of unanimity and it alone leads to abundance or Life More Abundantly. Saving, hoarding is actually un-natural. It indicates a lack of faith. It operates on the non-principle of doubt and, because it blocks the flow of energy through the system, it will lead, as we have seen over and over again, to various forms of disease like fascism, dictatorships and fanaticisms that will allow intelligent human beings to become so deluded that they will willing kill themselves and thousands of others in what they consider to be acts of holiness, as well as other more recognizable forms of sickness like the plagues and diseases associated with hunger and malnutrition. 

Abuse the planet, reap a desert. 

What is called for and what will lead Humanity to a state of material abundance beyond its current imagination is the wise and sustainable use of what is. This is true husbanding. This kind of husbanding will liberate humanity from physical want. Once liberated from this material prison, our focus of attention will rapidly shift from the dense physical plane into the etheric planes thus revealing to us the realm we call solar 

What did we think Life More Abundantly was all about? Surely not the Lincoln Navigator. 

I know that this kind of message sounds bleak. This sort of truth facing is always hard, hard for the individual disciple when confronting his or her own shadow and hard for us as a group of disciples who are committed to the salvage business. Well, all is not bleak. It is the opinion of many disciples, friends, that we are accompanied in this battle by the forces of Light. Literally.

Many of us sense the exceeding importance of these days and we know that the way ahead is not a picnic. However, we have been assured over and over in the Teaching and in our meditations that as we walk through the valley of the Shadow of Death we need fear no evil, for they really are with us, and they really will sustain us and provide the power and the love we need to do this job. They will, they are providing the power and the love, but it is our job. So friends, let us be mindful that, although it may seem like a play or a movie, the situation facing humanity today is for real. The time has come for Humanity to be free, and we can do this, friends. We can do this.
