Things you can do...
Meditate
as a service to humanity and the
planet

UN
Days Meditation Outline
Individuals
and groups can help to make UN Days more effective through meditation and
prayer. Click here for information on the UN
Days in the current month and suggestions on how to participate
in this Initiative.
Sit comfortably, alert and with the spine erect. Breathe quietly and
regularly. Raise your consciousness to the centre between the eyebrows and
without strain hold this focus.
Stage one
Say aloud:
May the Power of the one Life
pour through the group of all true
servers
May the Love of the one Soul
characterise the lives of all who seek to
aid the Great Ones
May I/we fulfill my/our part in the one Work
through
self-forgetfulness, harmlessness, and right speech.
Using the creative imagination link in thought with those throughout
the world who are working with this UN Days meditation.
Stage two
Let the circle of your thoughts expand to include all people of
goodwill who serve with wisdom and compassion. Imagine this worldwide
group as a network of light and love enveloping the earth – you might
like to vision the UN as amongst its brightest lights. In your mind's
eye see spiritual energies pouring into this global group of servers,
aiding them in their work.
Stage three
Meditate on the topic/issue of the UN Day or Week you have chosen.
Reflect on its meaning and significance, on the principles and
qualities it highlights. Why is the Day or Week needed? Sense or
identify with the values that inspire right action in this area of
concern.
Stage four
Visualise the flow of the will-to-good (essential love) throughout
the planet.
Say aloud or silently:
Let vision come and insight.
Let the future stand revealed.
Let inner union demonstrate and outer cleavages be gone.
Let love prevail.
Stage five
Reflect on programmes and activities in the world that are making a
positive and enlightened contribution in this area of service. Think of
practical ways in which local groups and individuals can help.
Realise that you are making a contribution to the global focus on
this UN Day or Week.
Stage six
Link in thought with people of goodwill all over the world, and
visualise spiritual energies of light, love and goodwill pouring through
this worldwide network of servers into human consciousness.
Close by using the Great Invocation* or an affirmation of your
choice.
From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into human minds.
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into human hearts.
May the Coming One return to Earth.
From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide all little human wills
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the centre which we call the human race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out.
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth

What is Insight Meditation?
The term "insight meditation" refers both to a spiritual practice
shared by all forms of Buddhism, and to a particular historical Buddhist
tradition. The word "insight" is a common translation of the Pali word
vipassana, which means "clear seeing". Developing "clear
seeing" helps people live their lives with growing skillfulness and ease.
As a spiritual practice, insight meditation helps cultivate the qualities of
mindfulness and equanimity, which in turn foster the deepening of wisdon and
compassion, the gateways to liberation and freedom.

The
Science of Meditation
by Torkom
Saraydarian
"Meditation
in the New Age is creative thinking through the light of the Intuition and in
conformity with the Divine Plan. In the New Age, meditation will involve not
only the mystical efforts of humanity, but it will involve, as well, the
political, educational, philosophic, artistic, scientific, religious, and
economic fields. It will create harmony within and between all these fields
under the rhythm of the Divine Plan, of the Divine Will. Thus, meditation will
be not only to gain insight, to contact great powers, to have inspiration and
joy but also to bring them down to practical life, to transform our life on all
levels, healing the wounds of humanity, building bridges and revealing the
unity, the synthesis behind all creation."
