• Electra pages: The Online Directory of the Women's Movement is a project of The Women's Information Exchange / National Women's Mailing List. This is a searchable database with over 7,500 businesses, magazines, funds, agencies, advocacy groups, women's studies programs, and more.
• Global List of Women's Organisations, a country-by-country list compiled by Denise Osted. She includes organizations that are not entirely women-focused if they have a women's program (or programs). Not all countries are represented, even though they may have women's organizations.
• Pleiades Networks Directory. Searchable directory of women's organizations with websites.
• WIDNET Directory of Women's Organizations in the field of development.
• University of Waterloo Scholarly Societies Project Women's Issues section
• Try one or more of the general directories of women-focused sites on the Web, such as Femina.com and WWWomen.

• National Women's Studies Association (NWSA) promotes feminist teaching, learning, and research, professional and community service at all educational levels, and the interdisciplinary field of women's studies.
• Society for Women in Philosophy (SWIP) site includes syllabi, articles, and other resources, maintained by Cynthia Freeland, University of Houston.
• Society of American Archivists Women's Collections Roundtable
• Women in German Promotes feminist scholarship in German language, literature, and culture.
• Women's Classical Caucus seeks to incorporate feminist and gender-informed perspectives in the study and teaching of all aspects of ancient Mediterranean cultures.
• Women's history associations list from H-Net H-Women List.
• Women's International Studies Europe, a European feminist studies association
• Women's Liberation Research Network maintained by Ginny Daley, Women's Studies Archivist, Duke University, links people and websites concerned with the women's liberation movement.

• About-Face combats negative and distorted images of women. Site includes a gallery of offenders.
• African Women Global Network, based in the Center for African Studies, Ohio State University

• AWORC, the Asian Women's Resource Exchange, is an Internet-based women's information service and network in Asia.
• AWARE is a non-profit organization that teaches women about effective self-protection options.
• Canadian Council of Muslim Women assists Muslim women in Canada. Site includes several issues of a newsletter.
• Catalyst works to advance women in business and related professions. Site includes descriptions of research reports conducted by Catalyst.
• Center for Reproductive Law & Policy has numerous publications concerning the U.S. and other countries.
• Choices Campus Community! is a project of the Feminist Majority Foundation.

• Flora Tristan is the site of the Centro de la Mujer Peruana (in Spanish)
• Gender and Social Policy Organizations in the Washington DC area, compiled by Jennifer Sleboda, on the website of the Women's Studies Program, George Washington University, provides information on numerous national organizations with headquarters in Washington.
• Global Fund for Women
  International grantmaking organization.
• Guerrilla Girls are a group of women artists and arts professionals who make posters about discrimination.
• International Federation of University Women in Geneva links over 180,000 women university graduates who are members of 67 national federations and associations.
• Isis International in Manila. Site includes articles from its periodical Women in Action.
• Ma'yan acts as a catalyst for change in the Jewish community in ways to make it more inclusive and responsive to women.
• Momazons is a national organization and referral network by and for lesbian mothers.
• Ms. Foundation has projects on health and safety, economic development, and girls' issues.
• National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League
  Factsheets, publications, and other NARAL resources, plus links to pending legislation, family planning information, stories from women and more.
• National Organization for Women Homepage
  Press releases and other information about N.O.W. concerns and links to other sites.
• National Partnership for Women & Families, formerly the Women's Legal Defense Fund, advocates on behalf of "fairness in the workplace, quality health care, and policies that help women and men meet the dual demands of work and family."
• National Women's History Project disseminates materials on women's history.
• National Women's Political Caucus is "dedicated to increasing the number of women in elected and appointed office at all levels of government, regardless of party affiliation."
• Network of East-West Women (NEWW) has projects in Central and Eastern Europe
• Profeminist Men's European Network site has a bibliography, glossary of equality words, newsletter, and more.
• Society of Women Engineers site contains a number of career services.
• Third Wave is devoted to young feminist activism for social change. Site includes articles, speeches, and resource information.
• WHERE: Women for Healthcare Education, Reform & Equity is a national non-profit organization educating and supporting women on health care issues.
• WHOA: Women Halting Online Abuse educates the online community about harassment, helps formulate voluntary policies to discourage harassment, and empowers victims.
• WIDNET: Women in Development NETwork
  contains a directory, statistics on women, a database on themes related to women, many international documents, and links to related sites.
• Wisconsin Women's Network advocates on behalf of women and families.
• Web, by Women, for Women is an anti-censorship organization.
• Women for Women, an inter-faith, non-profit, humanitarian organization, helps women regardless of their nationality or religion. It originally started with a focus on helping women in Bosnia, but has now expanded to other troubled areas.
• Women in Decision-Making is a network of experts working for gender balance in decision making within the European Commission.
• Women in Engineering Committee of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers site includes a newsletter, mentoring and career information, etc.
• Women in Publishing promotes the status of women in publishing and related trades and others training and tutoring.
• Women Leaders Online is an advocacy group created on the Internet.
• Women's Educational Equity Act (WEEA) Resource Center promotes gender-fair multicultural education for all students.
• Women's Environment and Development Organization (WEDO)
• Women's International Center
  San Diego, CA-based educational organization.
• Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) is the oldest and largest women's peace and justice organization in the world. See also other women and peace sites
