The following list was
adapted from a pledge on the New Dimensions Radio web site. It seems a
worthy pledge for each of us to make:
Transform the power of the media into a vehicle
to serve the highest good of humankind.
Act responsibly to manifest constructive
personal, social, political, and spiritual change.
Honor cultural diversity and work actively to
alleviate the suffering of oppressed peoples everywhere. Redress the
imbalance of opportunities among communities.
Positively meet the challenge of preserving and
restoring the planetary ecosystem.
Eliminate all weapons of mass destruction on
the planet.
Inspire, enable and empower young people toward
caring and compassionate service, with a grounded, optimistic view of
the future.
Create and use methods and systems of
sustainability at all levels of personal, social and institutional life.
Appreciate and honor the strength and
creativity of the individual working in synergy with the larger
community at the local, regional and the transnational levels.
Use the tools of technology wisely and
ethically, honoring essential human values to foster a healthy planet.
Provide the tools necessary to foster safety,
trust and community among all people.
Foster the distribution of practical knowledge
and perennial wisdom in all ways possible to enable everyone to engage
life fully and work joyfully with meaning and purpose.

invites you to sit in virtual circle with them on the first day of every month
to pray and/or meditate, at the same instant, from wherever you are, for five
minutes--to resonate with us and others as we focus on taking responsibility
for who we are as a species on the planet, and on whatever situation you feel
most needs healing. We can positively respond to any current political and
environmental "hot spots" by focusing our positive awareness on such
events. |

MEDITATION FOR THE 2000 U.S. ELECTIONS
The following
meditation is being circulated by the Center
for Visionary Leadership, Washington, D.C.

This meditation is designed to help "set the energies" to
increase the
possibility that the highest good, aligned with Divine purpose, will
result from the upcoming U.S. elections. This meditation does not support
a particular candidate, but is intended to create an energetic field which
will facilitate the highest choice possible by the American people. If you are
drawn to this type of work, we encourage you to use this meditation several times
a week in your daily practice, with increasing frequency as we approach the
election on November 7th. Groups that are affiliated with the Center
for Visionary Leadership will be using
it, culminating in a group meditation on the night before the election to be held at the Center on
November 6th at
7:30pm, and we hope in other
locations around the U.S. and the world. |

MEDITATION FOR 
THE 2000 U.S. ELECTIONS
Purpose: The purpose of this meditation is to create a positive atmosphere
conditioned by the will-to-good, so that
each American, according to the vision of his/her soul, can be aligned with Divine Will and make the
best possible choice in the elections, serving the highest good of the
nation and the world. |
1. Sound the OM three times, aligning the physical, emotional and mental bodies with the Soul, the indwelling Divinity.
2. As the Soul, see yourself as part of a network of light, circulating light among all individuals and groups around the U.S. and the world
who are meditating and working to build the new civilization of Light and Love,
aligned with Divine Will.
3. Now align with the Saints and Masters of all traditions - the Christ, Buddha, etc.
4. Align with the center where the Will of God is known.
5. Hold the alignment to allow the energies to circulate. (Pause 10
mins)
6. Visualize the American people glowing with their soul light, facing the decision of the 2000 elections. See the inflow of the energies of love and
goodwill circulating throughout the
people. See them infused with wisdom and the will-to-good and aligning their choices with Divine Purpose,
anchoring it on earth more fully through their choice.
7. Then see the energies flowing into Washington, D.C. aligning the government with higher spiritual principles. See the energies of
Higher Will flowing to the White House, love wisdom into the Congress, and higher mind flowing
to the Supreme Court of the U.S. government. See the idealistic personality of
the United States aligning with its soul of love wisdom.
8. Close with the Great Invocation.

THE GREAT INVOCATION
From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into human minds.
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into human hearts.
May the Coming One return to Earth.
From the center where the will of God is known
Let purpose guide all little human wills -
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the center which we call the human race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.
